We recently migrated from 7.5.1a to 8.1 FP1 and all the Oracle Patches you can stand.
We have Job Sequences that will call 5-10 PX jobs - mostly sequential order. We noticed that our daily cycle seems to have increased, although testing indicated we should have shaved 1.5 hrs off the load. In any case one of the things that is contributing to our increased load time is that a PX job called from with in a Job Sequence, will complete, 4-5 minutes will pass, then the next job in the job Sequence will begin.
We have well over a thousand jobs that run in our daily cycle. It only takes a few of these to make a significant increase in our window. Has anyone else run into this issue? We are using the standard logging to the file system rather than the repository.
TIA.
Bill
