Hi ,
saw all post on this topic. The oracle databae and datastage server both are installed on same machine in my case.I am able to connect to database using sqlplus. The client is installed.
Moreover I am able to connect to database using ODBC on datastage. But unable to import plugin meta data.
The dsenv file and all other environment variables are defined correctly.
Can you please tell what can be cause of error.
Thanks.

Hey i have resolved the problem ...hurray..am so happy.
I added lib32 for oracle lib path preceeding to lib in dsenv.Even then it was not working and then found the libclntsh.so file in lib32 directory did not have read/execute privilege.Gave the privilege and then got rid of the problem..
Even my Oracle 9i instance is 64 bit DS searches for libclntsh.so file in lib32.Really surprising!!
