API calls
Hi Dimple,
Refer to "DataStage Job Control API" documentation (*.pdf) in your client installation directory (ex: c:Program FilesArdentDataStageDocsjobapi.pdf). It also has some examples using Visual Basic.
Hope this helps,
Pavan

The jobapi document shows how you can control the Datastage designer from a com type object, calling from things like visual basic etc. It allows you access to the functionality of the designer and manager, effectively allowing automatic building of jobs from things like Visual Basic.
From your question it sounds like your asking if you can call API functions of other objects from within Datastage.. is this correct?
