We have random aborts in our project, usually connecting to and inserting into oracle tables. I have switch server tracing on, but as this is random,.. I've had to wait for an error to occur before switching back off again. Unfortunately it has product a large number of files in &COMO&.
How can I search for my failing process or job?
Error...
JobNameBlahBlah..Z999_BufferOut: ORA-03135: connection lost contact
Process ID: 20143
Session ID: 139 Serial number: 56797
The process id above i think is from the database server, so doesn't correspond to anything I have in &COMO&.
Bit stuck.
Thanks
Paul

Usually the files in &COMO& include the date and time that the job started, in DataStage internal format, as part of the file name. Can you list a couple of the trace file names?
Do you try to view them using the Administrator client?
