Information Server 8.5 will be available for download this Friday (15th of October). Details on my blog: tinyurl.com/ibmis85. New versions of DataStage, QualityStage, Metadata Workbench, Information Analyzer and Business Glossary in this release.

As far as I know, Solaris 9 and 10 64 bit will be supported, as normal. I don't know exactly which date it will follow on but it's in the plan that I've been teaching. ; )

Yes....I've tried it. It works well. There's a new "Pivot Enterprise Stage" that has a pull down for both horizontal and vertical. Vertical asks you for an "array" size (the number of columns that you want to create from "n" rows, and then it generates the column names so you can "map" them to the output link.
I'll probably still resort to old tricks and techniques at times, but it's there, and it works.
