I have DS installation version 8.1.0.1 on RHEL 5.2, the same installation is working at our client machine, but locally most command line tools fail with:
An error has occurred during DataStage initialization
Please contact the system administrator
Error code: 3 22
For example: uvsh, dslictool, smat, etc.
Any one with similar experience?
How can I interpret the error code above?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

That's a good question, and I don't know the answer. Can you get to the operating system, attach to the DataStage engine directory, execute the dsenv script, and then issue a bin/dssh command?

OK I managed to get the license information from the DataStage Web Console:
DataStage and QualityStage Server: 4 CPUs
DataStage and QualityStage Designer: 5 concurrent connections
DataStage and QualityStage Director: unlimited concurrent connections
DataStage and QualityStage Administrator: unlimited concurrent connections
DataStage: licensed
Parallel Canvas: licensed
Server Canvas: licensed
Metadata Workbench: 2 authorized users
I think nothing seems to be wrong with the license, what do you think?
