Hi all,
In our environment, we have Datastage (7.5.1.A) installed on the AIX (Version 5 Release 3). We are currently managing all code migrations using the Datastage GUI interface, which is becoming more challenging day by day.
We are trying to find a way to automate the import/compilation process for the Datastage components. I understand from the Datastage documentation that we can use dscmdimport feature to accomplish this. However, I was informed that dscmdimport feature is not compatible with AIX.
I am now looking at the ways to automate the DS components migration. Any inputs on the same would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Thanks,
Vinay

As far as I know dscmdimport.exe and dscmdexport.exe are "Client utilities". So, the OS of the server shouldn't matter at all. Why don't you just try it out and let us know if you face any issues.

Client Utilties
Thanks for the reply.
So, from the client, we should be able to import/compile any of the Datastage components, I assume.
I will try this out and post a reply.
