Job is unlocked but still not opening in designer
I needed to close Datastage Designer as it hung up.
I went to server and unlocked all the jobs using dsadm account. when I again tried to open the jobs , it is again showing warning that job is locked by user ( which is me). I am the only user. I don't know whats going on. It is happenign for last 3-4 days. However when I try to open the same job after 4-5 hourrs after unlocking it, it successfully opens.
Please help me with this issue.
following is current status but I still can't open the jobs.
[dsadm@lxdscon Server]$ cd DSEngine
[dsadm@lxdscon DSEngine]$ . ./dsenv
[dsadm@lxdscon DSEngine]$ bin/dssh

Hi ,
you open the director and goto job option and click on cleanup resources .so your job lock will be released.
Thanx

This is Version 8, so you need to do this from the Websphere Information Server side as well.

Can you please tell me what do you mean by 'Websphere information Server side'. I am already doing it by going to DSEngine Directory and invoking 'dssh' and unlocking it from there. Please read my first post.ArndW wrote:This is Version 8, so you need to do this from the Websphere Information Server side as well.
Is there any other way?
Thanks a lot!

Just4geeks - I did read your first post and replied. At version 8 the locking mechanism is no longer exclusively controlled within the DataStage server engine as it was in the past, there are now other components involved on the IBM Information Server side.
Open up and connect to "http://{servername}:9080" in a browser, login with "isadmin", click on the "administration" tab, select "Session Management" then "active sessions", locate the offending session and click on "disconnect".

Thanks a lot ArndW! it worked. By any means I was not trying to offend you. its just that I thought 'Information server side' means server on unix.ArndW wrote:Open up and connect to "http://{servername}:9080" in a browser, login with "isadmin", click on the "administration" tab, select "Session Management" then "active sessions", locate the offending session and click on "disconnect".
