1.You can find the full documention here:
ALL Programs -> Ascential DataStage -> Online Manuals -> Documentaion
2.Do some sample jobs in Data Stage
3.Try to solve the real time problems posted in Data Stage.

There is a tutorial which comes with DataStage. Try that.

I deeply think starting point for learning DataStage should be determined on what you know till today.
It depend on,
What you are & What you want.
There is no best place to learn than the one you choose.

Hop in your time machine and get a job with VMARK Software, starting in approximately 1995. That would definitely be the best way.

Just start writing jobs with data, and use a little "trial and error, mostly error"
