There is a search feature in dsxchange which you can use to get a lot of examples.
Also checking the built in routines in DS will give you a good idea of how to go about it

Finding answers is simple, all you need to do is come up with the correct questions.
And then, of course, are the on-line help and DataStage manuals. There is a Tutorial that ships with DataStage too. From all of these sources you can get ideas about creating routines.
If you want help from DSXchange, it helps to post specific questions.
I could spend two days teaching you about writing before/after subroutines, and even then there would be more to learn.
