I have Environment Variables created in a project. When reference in a job I have the default value set to $PROJDEF under job parameters. The "View Data" in the stage is throwing "TNS ERROR".
But when I take off $PROJDEF as default value and reload the environment variable it tags the database name to the default value. And the "View Data" in the stage retreives the data back.
I do not think it is a problem with the TNS names. The TNS error only appears when I use $PROJDEF as default value.
Please advise.

with $PROJDEF you cannot view the data. It only loads it during run time. Thats why you are facing this error. I believe in the newer version (7.5.2) they have changed this. I guess you have an earlier version thats why its happenening.

Not that i know of. Maybe there is. Contact IBM for that.
IMHO, its not an issue. If you want to view the data, just go to the directors log, in the first entry of the job start where it loads all the environment variables, just keep a copy of that somewhere and keep pasting appropriate values to view data.
