what is the difference betwwn clear status file and clearlog please let me know

Clear log removes informational messages about the jobs execution history.
Clear status is used when a job mysteriously dies without leaving itself in a state that allows it to run again. Recompiling may not work, resetting is unavailable, etc.
This is nicely documented in under the help button or the .pdf files under the Start button for Ascential.

The status (hashed) file records the status of the job, its active stages and its resources.
