Designer Crashes when working with Sequencers
We are facing Designer crashes , lot of times, when working with Sequencers in 7.5.1A.
Has anyone facing this kind of issue?
We opened case with IBM and response was:
"there must be some kind of conflict with or perhaps something happened to your client. Have you tried uninstalling/installing the client again? "
We reinstalled DataStage Client on that machine, but that didnot solve
the purpose.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Duke, kduke wrote:There is a patch for this from IBM.
Can you please clarify me which patch it is exactly.
I don't see such patch on IBM website.
Only patch i see related to this is "dsclient_xpsp2"(atl.dll,DataStageSwitcher.dll,DSDesign.exe.local,setup,log,ecase60128-readme) , which we already installed.
Are you talking about some other patch?
If yes, can you please send me the name of the patch.
Thanks in Advance
Re: Designer Crashes when working with Sequencers
Yeah Designer 751A crashes a lot with Sequencers on my machine too. I save soon, save often and hope for the best. What helped a lot in my case was deactivating the "Show stage validation errors" option.poorna_76 wrote:We are facing Designer crashes , lot of times, when working with Sequencers in 7.5.1A.

Can I ask whether you connect with the Omit box checked, or supply a user id and password? If you do use Omit, try providing an explicit password. In many ways connection via LAN Manager rather than TCP/IP (which is what Omit does) is flaky.

We never connected by checking Omit box.
We always supply UserName & Password.
Thanks
