Server Shared Container and Parallel Shared Container

Post by Ananda »

Hi,

I need some information regarding Server Shared Container and Parallel Shared Container.

1) What is the difference between these two shared containers.
2) What are the advantages of using Server Shared Container in a parallel DS job. Any specific reason why Server Shared Container is used in a parallel DS job.
3) What are the advantages of using Parallel Shared Container in a parallel DS job.
4) What would be the impact if I replace Server Shared Container with Parallel Shared Container in an existing parallel DS job.

Please provide some input.

regards
Anand

1) Server shared containers contain server stage types, parallel shared containers contain parallel stage types.
2) You may already have developed the functionality and prefer to reuse the component.
3) Reusability of logic across multiple jobs.
4) Depends.
