Hi

We are using DataStage EE 7.5.1a in HPUX 11i (Itanium Architecture).
I would like to know, whether we can remove the license keys (that we provided during the installation) without un-installing the DataStage. I can see option to CHANGE/UPGRADE in DataStage Administrator client component.

If any one of you have done this (removing license without uninstalling), please share it.

Out of curiousity - the point of doing this would be?

If your license has expired...DS will automatically not allow you to login...So actually there is no need to remove the key.

If you have got an extension to the license from Ascential you can upgrade your key (of course before the previous license has expired )

Client licence can be upgraded without reinstalling the software. As of my best knowledge Server upgradation is not possible if new serial number is provided for the upgrade.

We have done this.
After upgrading Server license (thru Administrator) you need to restart DS Service from server end...thats it.

Serial number is disabled in DS administrator. How did you upgrade when new serial number was provided for the upgrade?

Please don't hijack other people's posts. If you've got a question to ask, start a new post.

Also read what the OP is asking - nothing about upgrading without reinstalling or having a new or expired serial number. At this point you are just guessing why they are asking about removing license keys, probably best to wait for them to clarify.

You need to be logged in as Administrator to do this...
One mere thing..you can upgrade this license even if the license has expired.
