Hi Amith,

I have personally used about 160 columns, I dont think that there is any limit to the number of columns, to the best of my knowledge. If there is any limit, maybe the Dsx Gurus will be able to tell us.

thanks

I don't think so.
But if you pull all the unwanted columns into transformer, job process time will be increased. Its a performance bottle neck at ETL level.

There is no limit on the number of columns in a row in DataStage.

However, you may encounter limits elsewhere. For example, the default limit via ODBC is 400 (which can be overridden by MAXROWCOLS in uvodbc.config). The maximum number of columns supported by MS Access is 256. And so on.
