Is that which connects to informix database..What is its' working process.

I hope you don't take this too personally, but this type of question really has no place in this forum; unless I've mistaken your question and intentions.
The best and only answer to the question is RTFM.
I did a quick search of the SERVER developer's guide for "Informix Enterprise" and got a hit, telling me to look at the Parallel Developer's guide, which actually has a WHOLE chapter (number 15) telling us what the stage does.
I'm sorry for snapping at you like this - but if had you used the help or the documentation you would have found an answer; or at least asked a different question.
