Loading parent and child tables using the same connector

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before.

Is it possible to load a parent and child table using 2 links going to the same Oracle connector? When I join multiple links, the connector gives me a link ordering tab. I'm not entirely sure about the dynamics of a scenario like this. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, this is doable. Also see section titled 'Local transactions with database connectors' in Guaranteed delivery with InfoSphere DataStage.
