Is it a good habit to use RCP when doing project?

it will save a lot of effort to maintenance the columns.

Or will you use RCP to develop a new project?

I prefer not to use RCP in general, though I do use it occasionally when some kind of generic solution is required.

Some of my reluctance stems from earlier releases, when RCP was not well supported in lineage reports.

It can also lead to hard-to-diagnose "column has been dropped" warnings appearing in job logs. One of my standards is to create jobs that run with no warnings.

I totally agree with Ray. It confuses more people than it helps anybody. At some point you need to turn it off anyway to drop all columns not going to the target.

Hi

It all depends on the application logic that you use within the datastage jobs.
