Data Migration Statistics using datastage

Guys,

I am looking to move data from one database(sybase) to another(Oracle 12c) using datastage 8.5 version. I have couple of below questions:
1) Does datastage 8.5 support Oracle 12c ?
2) What could be the best possible migration approach. I am looking to develop a RCP enabled job to migrate the data. Will it be fine ?
3) Data volume is huge and hence I am looking for some data migration stats like how much time it will take to load around 5 GB of data.

Regards.

1) yes
2) RCP works well in this type of scenario, but you will have to check to ensure that your datatypes are compatible between the two databases (character set, date/time types, etc.)
3) 5Gb is a small amount of data. Even 5Tb can be a small amount, depending upon your hardware.

Can you please provide some stats around load time. Generally how much time will it take to load 1 TB of data with average hardware.

Thanks in advance.

It depends on your hardware. Talk to your hardware people and find out the throughput.

It depends on a lot of things, all of which are specific to your hardware, your topography and your data. As to how long it takes... you'll find out.
