Install 9.1.2 IIS bigdata file stage does not work

Post by peep »

I installed 9.1.2 IIS on linux OS and the bdfs stage icon looks like plugin in the pallet .

Is there any patch or some setting missing here. Any one have such experience?

Sounds like a question for your official support provider. If IBM is your support provider then you can use following link to open a PMR.

It might just mean that your client machine is running out of memory. Try closing a few other windows and/or restarting the Designer client.

I had a similar experience on 8.7 with a different stage type. It turned out to be a client tier problem related to 64-bit Windows, proven by comparing a different client install on 32-bit Windows. Worked with IBM to resolve it...

Our client is on citrix so we have granted write access to directories below \Client\Classic recursively

this issue is resolved.

It would have helped a quicker diagnosis had you mentioned the Citrix connection at the outset.

Could we have a few more details? Why did granting write access to the Clients/Classic location resolve the problem? I wasn't aware that anything was written to that directory post-installation / patching.
