Hi

Till now we are using Oracle 11G database with Datastage 8.7.

we are going to change our Database oracle into oracle Oracle Exadata.our DBA GOING TO change new Service name for Oracle Exadata Service Name.

So I need to change from our Data stage server side too. where are all Datastage will use Oracle Service Name? So that I will make the change on Datastage server side.

I hope there is nothing change in sqlnet.ora and ldap.ora.

Thanks
Man

Maybe the answer lies in tnsnames.ora. Your Oracle DBA should be able to advise you on configuring the Oracle client (that is, DataStage), since you're only required to make this change because of the service name change.

(I'm a little surprised that you don't need to change sqlnet.ora.)

Will you be using Oracle Exadata as a data source/target or as the xmeta repository?

we are using oracle EE stage as source and Target.

Now we are able to connect Oracle EXADATA but recently they have added more rack for Exadata storage, after that very slow for Oracle EE stage but if I use ORACLE Connector stage there is no slow.

Is this anything I have to do for ORACLE EE Stage.

Thanks

I just don't get it that fixing LDAP and IP address config issue can speed up the ORACLE EE Stage? Can you elaborate a little bit more. Thanks.

Try to move away from the Oracle EE stage to the Oracle Connector, it is a better option and has much better reject handling. As of DataStage 9.1 the Oracle Connector is a lot faster than previous versions.
