Hi all,

we're planning to use the balanced optimizer functionality frrom within our 8.7 setup. We're now encountering the ORA-00972-error simply because the optimized job has rewritten an insert to an 'insert into as select', but uses the linknames (>30 chars....) as an alias

Can't be that we have to rename all linknames > 30 chars to get this up and running... So kind of looking for the hidden magic APT-parameter or Balanced Optimizer option to prevent linknames being used for aliasing ?!

If I had to guess (and I do) I'd say you are looking for a patch.
