DB2 Enterprise Stage Connection Error

Post by wittyme »

I am using DB2 Enterprise stage and I entered the correct database, username and password but still I am getting this error

"SQL30082N Security processing failed with reason "3" ("PASSWORD MISSING"). >SQLSTATE=08001"

I can connect it through database tool and DataStage admin says it passes the test from his side.

What could be the possible reason for not connecting through Designer?

Is user not having all the privileges?

I search the forum and the 2 subjects I found didn't help.

Hi wittyme,

which flavour of DB2 do You try to connect to? And which version of DataStage do You use?

Hi,

Did you check director to confirm what value has been passed to the User Id and Password?

Thanks,

This has been solved by the admin. He messed up something on his side. Not sure what exactly he did to fix the issue. I cannot ask as our admins are little strong headed. :D
