Hi All,

I have read and often heard about BASIC Transformer stage in parallel and just transformer stage.

On what basis we are saying it as BASIC Transformer stage in parallel ?

how should i know whether the transformer used in parallel job is basic or parallel?

I have searched here and tired for not getting the exact output for my question.

can anybody help to know the diffference?

You can use a BASIC Transformer stage in a parallel job.

Each stage type has its own chapter in the Parallel Job Developer's Guide.

In version 8.5 and later an obvious difference is that the Transformer stage supports Loop and the BASIC Transformer stage doesn't.

Another difference is the number of tabs in the stage properties dialog; in version 8.7 there are nine tabs for Transformer stage and five tabs for BASIC Transformer stage.

Unfortunately, both stage types share the same default icon.

The tab count Ray mentioned will quickly give you a clue (best bet).

Also if you're opening existing jobs and trying to determine at a glance, check the derivations for BASIC or Px-specific routines.
