Post by zulfi123786 »

I have assigned a bitmap image for the build op stage and see that the same is reflected as the stage icon in repository is updated but when i drop the stage onto the canvas i dont see the bitmap image.

I see the buildop looks like an electrical wall socket even after a 32*32 bitmap is assigned in the stage properties, guess there should be a way to change the image.

As far as I remember, then you will actually have to exit your session and log-on again for the image to be reflected correctly on the canvas.

What are the locations of your bitmap file?

I am accessing datastage via Citrix. The bitmap is located on my client machine whose path was specified during the "generation" of the buildop. Should the bitmap lie on the server ?

I think client is the correct location, but since you're on citrix, are you assured to get the same citrix client image every time you log in? I have seen where this is not the case. My last project had 6 different desktops I could land on every time I connected.

Please double check that the bitmap exists after logging out and back in to citrix and check if your computer name or desktop image name changes. Can you tell me the exact path where the bitmap file is?

Not sure how many Citrix servers run at the backend, what confuses me is I can see the icon in the repository where I have housed the new stage but when I drag it onto the canvas the same old electrical socket appears

The bitmap is on my desktop and not on the Citrix server from where I am accessing datastage

Have you tried Designer from your desktop or tried uploading the bitmap to Designer on Citrix?

We don't have access to put files onto the Citrix server. We can only access the applications installed over the server :(

Surely, someone does. Can you not request that they do this for you?
