Hi Gurus!
In designer, I tried to view the data(Oracle Stage), as soon as i gave credentials, it hangs forever!
Can expertise tell me what i should check first?
like troubleshoot ODBC connectivity using ./ivtestlib?
Do we have anything for oracle trouble shooting steps?
Thanks

Forever is a long time.
First off, how large is the data set that you are attempting to view? Is it of a target or a source? If the table is 'large' or the source sql is complex, it can take quite some time for it to start returning data.
Also note that the Oracle stages do not use ODBC but rather OCI, native Oracle client connectivity.

Thanks Chulett for your reply!
It is very simple query. it used to returns ~ 10 rows from source table.
DBA said that DB is active and no problem in their end.
I just wonder what could cause for hangs and no error message as well.
Any standard steps to isolate the issue?
So OCI directly look up tnsnames.ora and connect to DB?
