Can't see Envt variables APT_PARTITION_NUMBER and COUNT

Post by ravindras83 »

Hi

I am using DS version 8.5 on unix box.

I was looking for the Environment variables APT_PARTITION_NUMBER and APT_PARTITION_COUNT in the list of variables.

I want to run Tera data Multiload stage in parallel mode which needs unique names for the Log and Err Tables. I wanted to use APT_PARTITION_NUMBER to make the names unique.

But when i try to add variable in job properties these two don't appear in the list.

I logged into the administrator client and I don't see them there too.

Is it that they are not appearing as they are read only?

If so how do I access them?

I tried putting #$pAPT_PARTITION_NUMBER# in the Multiload stage but job does not recognize it when run.

Is there any particular way to access them?

Thanks

They are not environment variables, they are system variables @PARTITIONNUM and @NUMPARTITIONS. In the expression editor they can be selected from the drop-down list of expression operands under the system variables section.
