Issue during target load

Hi,

Unable to prefix schema name in the ODBC stage which is target (only insert records), the target database is MS SQL Server.

The way it is given in the job is #DBname#..tablename and when run it errors out but when given as only tablename without prefix then executes fine.

Is there any way by which the prefix can be included?

Appericiate your time, thanks

Thanks

It's been a while since I've used sql server, but try ".dbo." instead of the ".." between DB and table.

That said, there are also several forums for DataStage stuff, so putting this in the IA forum means less people will see it.

How are you managing to use Information Analyzer to load a target table?

stuartjvnorton, that was fantastic, it worked when the property was given as Databasename.dbo.table

Ray, Sorry I did not understand your question.

Thanks

In my experience Information Analyzer is a profiling tool. There is no concept of a "target table".

You posted in the wrong forum. The forums here are based on product & job type and this one is for questions specific to the Information Analyzer product.

Question on Parallel jobs belong in the Enterprise Edition forum. I'd move this myself if I had the power but I don't here.

Please excuse, I should have posted in the Enterprise edition.

Thanks.

I have the power now so off we go!

In case anyone else has the same issue and comes looking for an answer it should be a little easier to find in the correct forum.
