Information Server V 8.1 on Unix Sun Solaris

We have Information Server V 8.1 and using Oracle client 10.2.0
As of now connecting from Datastage V 8.1 to Oracle 10g R2 Database as well as Oarcle 11g R2.
do we need to upgrade the Oracle client to 11.2.0? or is it good to keep using Oracle client 10.2.0?
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated?
