Hi All,

In the Sort stage there are options under stage and properties tab
to choose type of sorting (asc/desc) , sort key , stable sort .. ,
and on input tab there are options for partitioning , stable , and to select key field , choosing sort order (asc/desc) ,case sensitivity and unique,

How are the above properties different on properties tab and input tab?
what do they signify??

Can someone please clarify ??Are we metioning or setting the options duplicatly.. , if not .. how are they different...??

Any inputs greatly appreciated.

Sorting options on the input link Partitioning tab are only there because every stage input has these options. It would be silly to pre-sort data that you are going to sort.
