Using views in place of tables in teradata connector stage

Post by sachinag »

Hi,

I am trying to load data using teradata connector stage using a one to one view instead of table. I am using "Bulk" mode and Load as the operator. But the job is aborting with RDBMS error code 3853 which says that the table name used is a view.

Can anyone give inputs on this issue

Thanks and Regards
Sachin

At a guess, Teradata does not permit the bulk loader to be used with a view. You will get more information from your Teradata errors manual.

... and/or your Teradata DBA.

Does any database allow a bulk load to a view? Other than RedBrick.
