Dataset file

Post by krisna »

Hi All,

I am getting this kind of warning.

main_program: When deleting data set /opt/datastage/projects/TEST/DWRCPS_DIR/STAGING_FILES_DIR/xyz.ds, previous delete attempt not complete; removing /opt/datastage/projects/TEST/DWRCPS_DIR/STAGING_FILES_DIR/xyz.ds.being_deleted in order to proceed.

can this warning be ignored or what to do to avoid this warning.
Thanks in Advance

Does this happen every time you run the job, or has it occurred only once?

If it has occurred only once, then you can safely ignore it. If it's every run, I would be investigating (probably with the orchadmin command) why this particular Data Set can not properly/fully be deleted. Presumably it's a configuration file compatibility issue between the job that writes the Data Set and the job that attempts to delete it (presumably as part of an overwrite strategy).

It has happened only once and I had seen this warning for the first time.
Thanks
