Hi All,

I am installed datastage server 8.1 in one machine and I am connecting server through to client.

But i am getting this type of error

Failed to authenticate the current user against the selected Domain
A communication failure occurred while attempting to obtain an initial context with the provider URL: "iiop://ibminfosphere.hcl.com:2809". Make sure that any bootstrap address information in the URL is correct and that the target name server is running. A bootstrap address with no port specification defaults to port 2809. Possible causes other than an incorrect bootstrap address or unavailable name server include the network environment and workstation network configuration.

I followed all the steps like 1) WAS is up
2) Uv admin start
3) All the service start
4) node Agent is also up

Still i am facing the issue.

regards
sathish.

Can you use the web interface to Websphere? (http://ibminfosphere.hcl.com:8080)

If port number 8080 does not work, can you open the WebSphere App Server console (port number 9060)?

Sounds like your DataStage credentials (Web Console for Information Server, Domain Management menu) are not set up correctly.

 sorry about my poor english.
I have ever encounted the same problem.

All the service start, and WAS ASBNode is also up,also write the server ip into the client host file, and I can visit http://myserver:9080.
i also set up the DataStage credentials in Web Console of InformationServer and then restart WAS and ASBNode, but unfortunately it doesn't get work...

so i asked the IBM support, they give me the following suggestions:
edit /etc/hosts which in the server ,not the client
replace
127.0.0.1 myserver localhost.localdomain localhost
to:
127.0.0.1 localhost
YouIP group.localdomain YouHostname

and then restart WAS

hehe,its fine now
hope it's useful to you
