what is the use of parameter set in 8.0 version

in 7.5 version parameter set is not available,but

in 8.0 version i am using parameter set to parameter set to add which parameter r required to our job.

is there any another usage of parameter set

why mainly parameter set added in 8.0 version

Hi,

Parameter sets are also used to add the different set of Parameter Values, with respect to different environments.
So, that by just changing the value of the parameter set, the jobs/sequence can be run in the different environments.

Anji,
We have just upgraded from version 7.5 to 8.0 our selves and have just started usingthe parameter set
From the documentation:
- Store a collection of parameters in a named object
- One or more values fils can be named and specified
- A values file stores values for specified parameters
- Values are picked up at runtime
- Paramater sets can be added to the job parameters specified on the parameters tab in job properties.

It comes in very handy for us since many jobs within teh same project are using the same variables over and over again. We define them in one job save the group as a Parameter set and now able to import the whole group into another job, without having to select the individual ones.
