Oracle Client required or not for 8.1 Enterprise stage

Hi,

I have a specific doubt about 8.1 version.

Can the oracle Enterprise stage work without the Orcle client installed on the server?

The answer I feel is yes. But one of the IBM guy told me you don't need the oracle client for the Enterprise stage to work.

Can anyone know what is the right thing thing here? Please help.

I gone through the documentation and it sys about setting oracel home path and all which inturn means u need client.

Please help me here.

You need client.

Please ask the IBM person how you can use Oracle Enterprise stage without Oracle client. I'm sure we'd all be interested to know.
