parallel jobs has status = running but actually not running

Post by juliesimo »

Hello,
in my project that was running jobs every day ...suddenly stopped executing the orchestrate from the PXengine. Also I figured out that the director has the status running but actually has stucked and the monitor has black colour. The desinger shows the jobs without row performance and the links has black colour too.
Could you please give me a solution or any suggestion about this?
thank you in advance

How do you know the jobs are not running ? Is anything happening in source or target ? Are any process initiated by DataStage ?

Monitor staying black does not imply the job NOT running. It may imply the monitor down.

Start the job monitor using jobmoninit.

I know that jobs not running because the targets is empty. Also I have an example:
sequential--> transformer-->odbc

so I do 'view data' to the sequential and the message I have is 'No rows found' .(the file is full of data)

I restarted the server and the datastage services but not worked.
I want to say also that the server jobs and the sequence jobs with server jobs running successfully.

p.s.:sorry, I am not a premium user and I can't see the whole message.
thank you :)

"monitor has black colour" - may be job monitor has stopped
restart job monitor and run a job and check

Do an exact search here for "jobmonapp".

 And please, if you are going to use BBCode and Smilies for quoting tags and happy faces and the like, you cannot disable them in your posts. Change your default. I 'fixed' your posts in this thread.

thank you craiq,
i find it how the jobmonitor starts but I suppose the error is the orchestrate ...the osh.exe in task manager isn't running so it seems more complicated...do you have any sugestion about that ?
thank you

I'd recommend restarting DataStage at that point.
