Dataset write job hung

Post by satish_valavala »

DataSet Write jobs hung. Even with a simple job (RowGenerator ---> DataSet for 10 rows, 1 column), we are unable to write to DataSet. All other jobs are working fine.
Configuration files (1x1, 2x2, 4x4 nodes) looks fine, Data and scratch file/folder permissions are fine (we can able to create/touch files from UNIX command line). When we run any DataSet write jobs it just hung, we can see the .ds file created under specified directory, but job is not writing anything to Data/Scratch folders. Even after Restarting the DS services, issue still exists.

Permission issue on "resource disk"? Are any error messages logged?

We have verified that by creating (touch at command line) some temp files under resource and scratch filesystems/folders.

This issue is RESOLVED after restarting the UNIX server.

We have no-clue why this happend.
