issue in merge stage

Hi,. I am having a simple job to identify the deletes and inserts from the source and flag the records. I am using a merge stage instead of lookup so that i can capture the deleted records from the source. when i try to run the job, its getting struck at the merge stage. even with 1 record its not running. Can anyone tell me whats wrong with my approach/job?. Any basic checks that i can do? Also how can i find out whats happening from the DS engine perspective?

What are the property values you have set in the Merge stage?
