Creating a build stage to transpose

I want to create a custom stage which can perform function of transforming. Can anybody guide me how to accomplish it?

Why reinvent the wheel? What do you need to do that the Transformer stage (or the Pivot stage, if "transpose" is what you're after) cannot do?
