Hi,

My job look like

Oracle enterprize (Oracle DB) - >Transformer -> ODBC (SQL Server) - Peek(for rejected)

Target is daily refresh(truncate and load)

This job complete sucessfully, some time it givies fatal error but job doesnt abort
[DataDirect][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Communication link failure
APT_CombinedOperatorController,4: [DataDirect][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Communication link failure

Due to above fatal error
when we do count at target we get record drop and see few records at rejected at link...


some days it gets completed suceesfully without any issue.


Any idea?
Can anybody tell me how we can resolve this issue?

Couple of suggestions:

1. Involve your official support provider and see if it is a known issue with your versions / drivers / target.

2. Google for "ODBC communication link failure". You'll find tons of other people getting that message from ODBC for SQL Server, the plethora of reasons that could cause that and perhaps even a solution or two.
