Hi All, I have character # contained in a password. Will this work ? Is there a work around?

Yes, you can have the hash symbol in a password. What problem are you having and in what job/stage or sequence?

Its Actually a Project Environment variable that is used in many DB stages.

Hi,

We had issues with DS admin password having a '#' in it. Not exactly sure why but when we ran the QS jobs after the password change containing # the log clearly specified that it was due to a character in the password.

Jobs ran successfully after eliminating # from the password

Thanks,
Karuna

Hi,

I ran into a similar issue using DS 8.1. You may try to enclose the password in quotation marks (either single or double).
