Strange failure when DS writes to Teradata error table 2

We sent this to IBM and it sounds like it is a known issue. The response I got was that the TRANSLATE command is no longer used in this context in DS8.1 adn DS8.5.

We are in the process of going to DS8.1, hopefully in the next 2-3 months. It did not sound like there was an existing patch for DS8.0.1.
