DataStage not using the oracle table index

Post by udayk_2007 »

Hi All

We are migrating our environment from 7.5.1 to 7.5.3 ,and database is upgraded from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g.

Some of the jobs are getting hanged while updating in new environement (7.5.3 + 10g).After analysis with DBA Team,we come to know that jobs running on 7.5.3 ,are not using the oracle table indexes.

Does anybody know which is the DataStage parameter to be set,to make the job use oracle indexes?

Thanks for your help

There's no parameter for that. Suggest you involve your official support vendor as that smells somewhat buggy to me. Could be in the Oracle client, could be in the stage, best to ask them.

Have the DBA monitor the query that is actually being received by Oracle from DataStage, and to capture its execution (explain) plan.
