Unable to save a new job. Error code - 40538

Post by dpsahoo »

Hi,

I created a new job and tried saving it the first time. It immediately threw up the following error message.
Error:
(40538) The Object Manager call to save the Job as a different name could not be made, or failed within the Object Manager.
I opened a new job and tried to save it(without anything i.e. no design on the job canvas), even then the error message was the same. Can somebody please throw some light on this.

I checked with other users, they are able to create & save new jobs in the same project. Not sure why I am unable to save a new job with my id.
I was able to to do this operation around 2 hours back but not now. I have relogged in & restarted my system, still no resolution.

" u'r "? Seriously? :?

Neither the word I suspect you meant - your - nor the ancient Sumerian city of Ur have an apostrophe in them.

Hi Ram,

Thanks for the reply. As i have mentioned before, there is no change to my permissions when I was able to do the full range of activities (create new job, save & compile etc.).

Was wondering whether there is any other system/server related issue.

Also, other developers who belong to the same user group as myself are able to do save new jobs.

Any light on this would be much appreciated.

I also had similar issue several times recently.
Something related to connectivity. Just save in some other folder with some other name got me the result.
