Regarding UID and GID for enabling DB2 Enterprise stage

Hello,

DataStage Engine is installed on Machine A. DB2 is installed on Machine C. In order to enable DB2 Enterprise stage should the user ID and group ID on Machine C be the same as that on Machine A?

I've got a document from IBM which is almost same as http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/ ... -datastage but says that the UID and GID on both machines have to be same. Does anyone have different UID and GID and still have DB2 Enterprise working?

No, you must have the same UID and GID in order for DB2 Enterprise (inter-partition communication) to work.
