Datastage job fatal error

Hi,

i am trying to execute a job and am getting the following error, no idea what this is, tried to search much could not find much information.

Kindly help

Xfm_Stage,0: Fatal Error: I/O subsystem: Creation of /opt/IBM/InformationServer/Server/Datasets/<dataset name>.<userid><servername>.0000.0000.0000.17034c.cc5c96c6.0000.d2752016 failed: Permission denied

<dataset name>.<userid><servername>.
that was name of the dataset that i gave, the user id i logged in as and my server.

Your user doesn't have permissions to create / overwrite a dataset in that location. The important bits are "Creation failed, permission denied".

Talk to your unix administrator and ask him to include you user id in the same group as used for datastage users.
Telnet to the unix box.
cd /opt/IBM/InformationServer/Server/
ls -ld Datasets
Check the group for this folder, and check you own group.
That is your main issue.
