how can i pass a ftp website as parameter in the param file

I have a FTP enterprise stage ftping the files from another site. the site is something like ://testwebsite. how can i pass this value from the unix box. Do i need to use escape characters for it. shall i have to define it as \:\/\/testwebsite in the param file. Since it is a path do i need to define it at project level.

Has anyone come across something of this sort?

Have you actually tried it yet? You have to escape quotes but I don't think you do for slashes. Try it and let us know. And it simply being 'a path' has no bearing on if it should be defined at the project level or not.
