Approach the problem from another angle and ask "what has changed between now and when the jobs ran correctly". Also, asking UNIX admins if the systems are "OK" is similar to asking a chef if his or her food tastes good.

Are databases involved?

Throw us a bone here...

- Is this one job or are all jobs "suddenly running slowly"?
- Is it restricted to jobs running on one common node?
- What do the "suddenly running slowly" jobs involve (is there commonality between them which might show up a bottleneck)?

So many questions, so little information to go on, we're shooting in the dark, but Arnd has given you the right pointers for starters.
