Hi.....

Greeting to everyone.

We are facing the below issue in Websphere 8.1 version. We are trying to connect to datastage designer from client machine but we are getting the following error. All required ports are open from client machine but still we are facing the same error.

Is there any solution to resolve this issue?

Do you have the multi client manager? I got a similar error message when I tried to log on to a different version than what was selected by the multi client manager. Ex: I selected V8.1 in the client manager then tried to logon using the V8.0.1 client, such as designer.

There is only one version in my Client machine , so when i connected to multi client manager by default it is showing installed version.

searchinf for a solution.....

Corba Marshal error during installation of Engine

In our case we saw this error in logs on server where engine was being installed.
We found out that on the server where Service WAS is installed one of the directories
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/ApplicationServer/profiles/default/classes was owned by root instead of wasadmin id.
this directory has a file keystore which is used for registering ASB agents(engine node) with ASB host(Service WAS).

Basically it was a permission issues. We are trying to run everything non root and running into permission issues.
Since we have non-root ids we are unable to use external registry local OS registry in WAS.

hopefully your issue is resolved.

Looks like a permission/firewall issue since you say that there is only a single version of client installed.

If you remember there is a message when you install ' pls disable the firewall'
